Help a disabled Black queer survive the winter!

*URGENT FUNDING NEEDED*

We are urgently raising funds for housing on a new place for my friend and their elderly dog, and to replace an appliance for a quality of life improvement.

My friend (we'll call them S) has already been struggling for a while, but they finally secured housing a few months ago with their sister to ensure their nephews would have a place to sleep, along with themselves and their 10 year old support dog, Onyx (and at the time, their new puppy.) S is severely disabled and has been overextending themselves to support and feed their nephews, often to their own detriment. They can no longer sleep or eat well, relax, or properly rest. Additionally, this situation has resulted in financial abuse at the hands of their sister, the death of their puppy, and they're now facing eviction again.

S has been working hard on their own for a long time but is running on empty, and I am desperately asking the community to help me keep my friend alive. We are trying to raise $2500 as soon as possible. This will allow them to get into a new place, or--in a less ideal scenario--keep up with rent for a few more months while they figure something else out.

Part of the funds will also be allocated to replacing their dryer. To add insult to injury, the heating coil went out after they had just replaced their washer, and it is too cold in Texas to air dry their clothes. It will be much safer if they can do their laundry at home and help them save on costs.

Please, please I know times are hard but if you have it to spare, please consider my friend. They deserve housing, and they deserve to live as comfortably as possible. We have a very close knit group of friends and we will be holding onto the funds with S's full consent so that they will have full access to the them as soon as they need them.
