Hi everyone! I'm creating a GoFundMe for a friend who is an independent digital artist (https://artbysansatully.gumroad.com/l/commissionsbysansatully). Technology has been a huge bridge to opportunity. My friend has been making art for me and other friends as a hobby ever since they got their own tablet. It wasn't any fancy iPad or anything of the sort, but it was enough for them to keep doing what they love!
Recently, I have been noticing that they haven't been making much art lately. I reached out, and they explained their situation. Their tablet has been slow for a while (which is tolerable), but lately, it's been giving out, and this is a MAJOR issue since art has become their full-time job. They're only looking to replace their tablet with one that can allow them to take commissions and do freelance work.

They have helped me and offered to help me in the past. When I was in between jobs and didn't have enough to pay for the internet, they came and helped. So, I created this GoFundMe not to "return the favor" but because they're my friend and friends help each other, that is what makes a community. If I was in a position to just be able to buy the tablet for them, I would with no questions asked! But since I can't do that currently, I am asking for support in any way. I am hoping that after I start my new opportunity, I can pay the difference if the goal isn't reached by then.
