On February 19,2022 my life changed forever,my mother usually tells me she loves me before she goes to work,this night she didn’t tell me that at all and she slept later then she usually sleeps so I knew this was going to be a weird night already.She woke up 2 hours late for work then walked out the house ,she worked as a manager at Atrium hospital in downtown Charlotte,the next morning I woke up to a phone call saying my mom was in the hospital not as an employee but as a patient,apparently she fell and had a stroke and was rushed to the ER where she went into a coma,I was 21 years old and a college student at the time I had just left college 2 months before this and was about to transfer to a bigger institution to play football I had only 1 semester left of college ,I decided to stay home and take care of my mom instead of chasing my dreams,I have had multiple jobs and quit due to them not fitting my moms schedule anymore because she has no one else to take care of her,she went to rehab for 3 months and still no progress this had definitely stopped me from living my life I am only 23 now and have stopped everything to take care of her,right now I just want to get her a nurse or get her in a long term care facility to take the worry and stress from both her and me but this is very expensive and not affordable since I also had to be the one to pay half of her bills as well as my own responsibilities,I’m just looking for some support the goal doesn’t matter to me,just want to take care of my mother!
