Hi, my name is Mike Henderson , and I’m a hardworking husband and father facing one of the hardest times of my life.

What started as a routine visit to the podiatrist turned into a life-altering medical crisis. A callus was shaved from my foot, which led to a severe infection. That infection spread quickly and resulted in three major surgeries — including ankle bone fusion — and the placement of a fixator device on my foot.

Due to these complications, I’ve been unable to work for an extended period and am now in a rehabilitation center, learning how to walk again. The road to recovery has been painful and long, but I’m fighting every day to get back on my feet.

While I’ve been focused on healing, our family has begun to fall behind on our mortgage and essential bills. My wife is working part-time while also in her final semester of nursing school — her last chance to become a nurse, something she’s worked incredibly hard for. I don’t want to be the reason she has to put her dream on hold.

We’ve always worked hard and lived humbly, but right now, we’re in a situation where we need help.
