Help a Devoted Caregiver Rebuild Her Life

The only thing my dad loved more than the Marine Corps was his family. Most of you know my dad was a Disabled Veteran of the USMC. My mother cared for him 24/7 for the last 9 years after a debilitating stroke left him unable to care for himself.

As we navigate this new life without him, my mom will need all the support she can get. My mom was 100% dependent on him and his disability income. Hopefully, we can get this worked out and she will be able to get some of this moving forward, but with everything at the VA, there is a process. With the sudden nature of his passing, my mom will have a period of no income outside of the small SS check she receives.

My mother also cares for my sister, who is paralyzed from an auto accident. We have the funeral expenses covered, but for those looking for a way to help her out, I am going to put this out there to help bridge that gap for them until we can figure out how to get her settled. Please pray for my mom and our family as we navigate this road. She has known nothing but loving and caring for this man for many years now, and her heart is shattered.
