Any help is greatly appreciated! I am a trauma-informed Craniosacral therapist who is self-employed, and my clients and family need me in good health and working.
On March 29th, I was struck in the head by a falling tree branch, giving me a mild concussion. I was out of work for 6 days due to dizziness and lethargy.
On April 13, 2 weeks after my concussion, I rushed to the ER after suffering a biliary colic blockage with gallstones that passed in the ER but sent my liver into shock. I had to have an emergency gallbladder removal. The hospital’s MRI machine was down for 24 hours while I was hospitalized. I had a couple more attacks and was given pain medication. As soon as the MRI was completed, the surgery was scheduled and then canceled due to the surgeon having a complicated surgery prior to mine. I was told to wait by the surgeon and my insurance since my supplemental insurance kicks in after 24 hours. Surgery was done 2 days later and was a success. It was finally done 4 days into hospitalization, on 4/17, when I could be fit into their surgery schedule. I was released in good health on 4/18 and on pain meds with orders not to pick up over 15 pounds and to return to work when I was out of pain. I am okay resting, but today I did 3 sessions and came home hurting and exhausted. I need to heal and be able to pay my duplex rent and office rent for May 1st and also pay my remaining bills.
I have been out a total of 11 days (2 work weeks) and am worried about being able to pay bills but also how I am going to be able to do sessions, not being able to work at 2 sessions a day. My doctor and my cousin, who is an RN, said it is too early to go back, so I am here pleading for help.
I so appreciate each and every one of you that is able to donate any amount and share so that I can continue being the single mother, friend, family member, or therapist to the best of my ability.
