It's the end of the school year and I should be looking forward to a peaceful summer break from teaching my autistic neurodivergent high school students. But a series of unfortunate events has unfolded in my life.
It began with a plumbing problem a few weeks ago. While looking under my house, plumbers discovered my house has settled and bent my drain lines, and they need to be replaced. They also discovered that raccoons had a party under my house this past winter, so it also needs electric lines repaired. That explains the flickering lights...
Then several trees fell on my house in a storm, destroying my deck, door, roof, and gutters. Insurance won't pay for plumbing drain lines and electric lines. And my deductible for tree damage is huge. I'm currently washing clothes in my bathtub and dishes in my bathroom sink. My students would freak. I can't get out my front door and I really just want to survive the end of the school year and get my monumental repairs done. ANY help is appreciated. I also need new bird feeders. My birds don't know where to go.
