Help a Dedicated Teacher Heal and Rebuild
Donation protected
Hello family, friends, and generous donors!
I'm not one to ask for help, but I find myself in a situation that leaves me no option but to ask for help. Like for many people, 2024 has been a hard year for me as I tried to keep up with the rising prices of everything. It's been a year of robbing Peter to pay Paul. I was slowly climbing out of my financial hole and finally glimpsing a small glimmer of hope that I was getting somewhere. That is until I fell.
On October 26, I fell after stumbling backwards, resulting in a broken wrist, torn rotator cuff, and a concussion. I'm in rehabilitation for the concussion and will have surgery in February to fix my shoulder. In the meantime, I am on medical leave from my teaching job and will only earn 60% of my pay until I can return to work. Losing 40% of my salary as a teacher is a hard hit to my budget, making it difficult to pay my current bills, and I don't see it getting easier as medical bills accumulate.
In addition to recovering from my injuries, I'm in the process of ending my marriage of 38 years. We've grown apart and just need to let go and begin a journey to find our happiness again. This is adding to my struggles as he packs and moves out.
So much has happened to bring me to the point that I must ask for help, and it hurts so much to be the one asking for help instead of being the one to help others. Any amount will help, and I truly appreciate any and all donations. God bless you all.
