To start with it’s pretty difficult and humbling to even write these words about what has happened to me in the last year or so.
I’ve been a successful career guy my entire life selling everything from custom software to real estate and recreational vehicles. I’ve consulted for the addiction and homeless industries, I’ve given numerous public speeches and all was well, until late last year all that changed.
I found myself in the hospital.
They ran blood test and my levels of my potassium, magnesium, and B12 were at very concerning levels. In addition to that my blood pressure was very high. The top number was something like 181. He immediately put me on blood pressure medicine and I went back to work a few days later. I ended up being out sick for five days at a time. And was not at the top of my game. My employer asked me to take a leave of absence and apply for family leaves. I applied for the resources that HR sent me which represented Family Leave, DSHS and even Social Security. 3 1/2 weeks later, I have not heard from any of those and I continue to try to reach out to them to no avail

Ultimately, after trying several living situations that went bad, I ended up living in my truck! It was unimaginable! Then the starter went out in my truck and a friend of mine finally was able to come and diagnose that that was the case. Two weeks ago yesterday he came to replace the starter at the park where I was stranded and I told him we had a change of planis I needed to go to the hospital again. Obviously he was shocked and he asked what’s going on. I uncovered my leg that was hidden beneath my shirt to reveal that my leg on my right side was swollen to 3 to 4 times it’s normal size. I couldn’t put any weight on it or bend it in either direction.. He took me back to the same hospital that I was at in November. This time they did several x-rays and ultrasounds and what they were able to tell me is, I had a severe and dangerous infection in my knee that had spread from my knee up to my mid thigh and down to my toes, the inflammation was so bad in my foot and ankle. I couldn’t even bend my toes. Long story short they, had to do surgery on my knee to clean out the infection and then they put me on IV antibiotics along with oral antibiotics and a vacuum pump to continually drain out the infection from my knee. The doctor described the infection is so bad that it was life-threatening if I had not treated it soon. They performed the surgery and then after seven days they made arrangements for me to go to a physical rehabilitation hospital right around the corner. I’m at now there and still continue to give me IV and oral antibiotics, and pain medication. Now, I do physical therapy daily.
What has resulted in this and I am now behind on my vehicle payment, if I don’t come up with $1000, my truck will be repossessed. I am behind on my cell phone bill and I’m only able to use my phone via Wi-Fi until I catch up on the $700 back due payment, my storage unit and my post office box are both in the rears for a total of $480 for both of those. The rehab hospital does have a care team and they are trying to put together some resources to help me catch up on my bills and figure out my housing arrangement but I guess this will take several weeks.

So my friends! Pray you are all well. I know we all have our battles. The reason I have actually set up a gofundmepage for myself was after being encouraged by a few close friends that I need a little help. It's hard for me to ask for help, but then again I think most of you know me pretty well to be a hard worker and would do the same for you if I could.

As I said the year has been rough ending up in the hospital where I am now. I am in debt. About ready to lose my truck. I have no place to stay. So my goal as suggested by GoFundme should be 9 grand. Thank you for any help! It will help so tremendously and especially your prayers.
