I’m making this on behalf of my best friend. She is a dedicated nurse and a proud mother of three wonderful children. She has always been the one caring for others, and asking for help is one of the hardest things she has had to do.
July 23rd she will be undergoing a 5-in-1 reconstructive foot surgery to correct ongoing issues that have significantly affected her daily life. While she’s thankful to finally be getting the care needed, the recovery will be long and challenging.
Because she works as a nurse, she’s on her feet for 12-hour shifts, lifting, walking, and providing direct patient care. Her surgeon has placed strict restrictions on her recovery, making it impossible for her to safely return to work for 8–10 weeks.
To make matters even more difficult, her short-term disability claim was denied, leaving her family without her income during this time. As a mother of three, this has created an overwhelming financial burden for her. She still has rent, utilities, groceries, insurance, and everyday expenses that won’t stop while she’s recovering.
Creating this fundraiser wasn’t an easy decision, but right now, she needs help. Every donation—no matter how big or small—will go directly toward covering essential household expenses while she heals and works toward getting back to the career she loves.
If you’re unable to donate, I completely understand. Sharing this fundraiser with others or keeping her family in your thoughts and prayers would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting her family during this difficult chapter. Your kindness, generosity, and encouragement mean more than words can express.
