Recently, he received a diagnosis of MALT Lymphoma, a form of cancer, after a long and difficult journey filled with uncertainty and hardship.

Afternoons and evenings were dedicated to play dates, park visits, and spending quality time with family, ensuring his son felt loved and supported. Even after putting his son to bed, he found time to maintain his own health through exercise before resting and preparing to face the next day.
Two years ago, his health began to decline due to multiple unexplained symptoms. Despite numerous tests and inconclusive results, he refused to let his illness hinder his responsibilities. Unfortunately, his condition worsened, leading to hospitalizations and, finally, the heartbreaking cancer diagnosis. Adding to his pain, on the very same day he learned the diagnosis, he witnessed the passing of an elderly client. Upon returning home, he faced yet more devastating news—his dog, (Chili Dog) who is like a child to him, became critically ill and ultimately needs to be put down.
This resilient man has endured more hardship in a short time than many could imagine, yet his spirit remains unbroken. However, the financial toll of this illness has been overwhelming. Without insurance coverage at the time of his diagnosis, he exhausted his savings on necessary tests, medications, and doctor visits. Now with the diagnosis confirmed, he is facing the challenge of affording essential scans, treatments, and medications while navigating insurance coverage that will not begin until the following year.
As of now, he has incurred medical expenses exceeding $10,000, with upcoming appointments expected to cost at least an additional $12,000. The financial burden is staggering, and he is left wondering how he will afford the care required to fight this disease and protect his son’s future.
I share this with you not only because he is a dear friend and devoted father but also because I understand the pain and urgency firsthand. I lost my own mother to cancer two years ago, succumbing within two months of her diagnosis. There was so little time and so few resources to assist her, and I cannot bear the thought of my friend facing a similar fate without the support he needs.
