Help a Dedicated Doctor Return to Medicine
Donation protected
I am a Harvard-trained cardiologist.
I've practiced in all major hospitals in Greater Boston for 20 years.
In 2020, while taking care of patients, I got COVID.
I almost died.
I had a prolonged illness lasting close to a year.
When I got better, a big family tragedy occurred.
My elder brother and sister died in the same month, 20 days apart.
I went to Pakistan.
The hospital asked me to arrange my own coverage for the 4 days I was in Pakistan.
Two doctors agreed.
When I returned, one doctor backed off, saying she had promised me but since it was Thanksgiving weekend, she needed time and a half.
The hospital asked me to arrange someone else, which I couldn't do as I was already in Pakistan.
The hospital blamed me, saying I abandoned my job, and fired me.
My license is restricted.
I am fully better and want to go back to medicine.
For that, I need money for health clearances and lawyer's fees.
Please help me.
