Please Help Me Remove a Tattoo that is Destroying my Life

I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a lot of shame, but also with hope that someone out there might understand and care.

I trusted someone I had known for years — someone I believed was a friend and a professional tattoo artist — to do a piece of work on my body to cover up something else. Instead, he betrayed that trust. He used drugs during the session, didn’t use a stencil, didn’t follow the design I asked for, and refused to give me a refund. What’s worse is that I didn’t realize what had happened until it was too late.

Now, I’m left with something on my body that I hate so deeply, I feel like I can’t even look at myself. I haven’t been able to eat properly or sleep through the night since it happened.

I’ve been trying to keep my head up, but the online reactions have crushed me. People have said I’m “ruined,” that I’ll never find love, and that my life is over. I wish I could ignore it, but it's gotten in my head. I feel ashamed and don't even want to show my face until this is gone from my life.

The hundreds of comments and thousands of reactions from these bullies have left me paralysed in a state of panic, and when I tried to speak to the artist about it, he told me to "shut up" and started laughing at my pain.

I have been deeply emotionally hurt by this experience.

The good news is that a reputable laser clinic has agreed to start removal treatments immediately. I never thought I’d be in this position — asking strangers for help — but I don’t know what else to do.
