Help Daniele fight Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer

Help a fellow Dance Mom and Dancing Daughters!

This fundraiser is for Daniele and the Shotwell family. Daniele is a young Mom who's been forced to endure some difficult medical situations. In November 2021, Daniele was diagnosed with stage II triple negative breast cancer. At the time, her two girls were babies, and she had to undergo treatment on top of everyday motherhood duties. Daniele is a true warrior, and handled this with grace! Luckily, through the use of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation, Daniele was able to conclude treatment(s) in January 2023.

Unfortunately, in February 2024 Daniele and her family received devastating news. Her cancer had returned with a vengeance. The cancer tumors had spread to Daniele's spine, pelvis, ribs, chest wall, lymphatic system, and abdomen. One tumor has completely blocked Daniele's right kidney. As a result, she had to undergo a procedure to have a nephrostomy tube which will drain her kidney into an internal bag. The process was painful, but Daniele endured with little to no complaint! She is a true warrior, and her strength is admirable.

It is with a heavy heart that we share this news. Due to the type of cancer Daniele has been diagnosed with, there are not many treatment options. However, despite her dire diagnosis, Daniele has been a pillar of strength. She continues to attend EVERY dance class and competition to support her daughters. Daniele's main goal is to keep life as normal as possible for her young girls- one of which will turn 9 y/o in May, and the other which is 5 years old. Daniele shows up, even when in pain. Even when it would be easier to stay in bed, wallowing- she is there for her girls. Again, her strength is admirable and we could all learn a lesson from Daniele.

I am reaching out for funds to support the Shotwell family during this difficult time. Due to Daniele's prior diagnosis in 2021, she was unable to work outside of the home. However, she is very creative and completed many projects for cash to assist her family. Daniele's husband, Halston, has been the primary breadwinner. However, he switched jobs right before the family was hit with Daniele's diagnosis. Funds are tight, and in order for life to remain consistent and stable for their young girls, $ is necessary. Please consider making a small donation to support the Shotwell family in maintaining normalcy in their everyday lives.

Dance mom's are a special breed. We spend a lot of time together; laughing, cheering, even crying at times. We become close in a short amount of time and bond over watching our children do something that they love. Daniele is a very special Dance Mom who takes pride in showing up and cheering on her daughters. She deserves as much time with them as possible, in the most normal way.

Please consider helping the Shotwell family during this difficult time. With all that they have had to endure, $ should be the last of their concerns. However, life is expensive, and it's time for our dance community to band together for this Dance Mom and her Dance Girls!
