My boyfriends father passed away on December 8, 2025, in Veracruz, Mexico. As a DACA student living in the United States, this has been incredibly painful for him, knowing he’s so far from home during such a difficult time. After speaking with the Arizona Dream Act Coalition (ADAC), he was given a bit of hope — the possibility that he may be able to travel to Mexico to say his final goodbyes in person.
Unfortunately, the process is costly. There are several documents, applications, and government fees required for him to receive permission to travel and return safely to the U.S. At this moment, we simply don’t have the financial means to cover these expenses on our own.
If anyone is able to help in any way, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your support would bring him one step closer to being with his family and honoring his father during this heartbreaking time.
