07/21/2025: A Black mother and renter leader, is going through the worst loss. Her son was killed yesterday in a shooting. We, as friends and fellow organizers, have created this fundraiser to support her and her family with funeral costs, urgent relocation for safety, travel for other family members, and support for the 8-month-old baby left behind.

Her son was 18 and a good father and well loved young man with big dreams and a beautiful mind. Gone too soon!

Despite the struggles of life, she has given so much to our communities as a renter leader active in community organizations including Community Powered ATX. Please support her through these heartbreaking times.
