Help a Childhood Friend in Need

Joe, one of my childhood friends is in a nursing home, fighting cancer, chronic cellulitis, and several other serious health issues. On top of that, he has no income while waiting for his disability benefits to be approved—a process that could take months. With no family left to support him, he’s completely alone in this fight and truly needs our help.

He doesn’t know I’m doing this because he’s always been too proud to ask for help. But the reality is, he has next to nothing—no clothes, no jacket, no socks, not even the basic essentials that most of us take for granted. The nursing home he’s in is one of those places you hear horror stories about—where they provide only the bare minimum, and anything beyond that is entirely the patient’s responsibility.

I’m reaching out to you because he won’t. He needs warmth, comfort, and dignity during this difficult time, and even the smallest contribution can make a world of difference. Every dollar will go toward clothing, necessities, and improving his quality of life in any way possible.
