Help a child with Autism for better education

I'm raising money to benefit The Learning Center at The Els Center of Excellence (The Learning Center at the Els Center of Excellence), and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me The Learning Center is a unique public charter school serving children with autism from Pre-K to grade 8. The Learning Center’s efforts are directed toward maximizing the potential and improving the education and quality of life of each of its students. The Nautical Fundraising Event was put together by The Learning Center Parent Teacher Organization in an effort to generate funds to supplement the yearly budget shortage. The cost per student is $36,579 per year and the FTE funding received by the school per student is $26,000. As such, the school has a shortage of $10,579 per student. The school educates 150 students which creates a shortage of over $1.5 million. The school applies for grants but as parents, the PTO is trying to help in any way possible. Our main goal is to generate enough income that will facilitate the school hiring a professional grant writer. Our children’s future depends on available funds as therapies and special instructions are vital to their growth of progress. Every dollar we can raise means a much-needed academic, speech-language, occupational therapy or physical therapy session.
