Over the past week, so many people have reached out asking how they can support the young boy who was harmed by Adam Hoffman. His mother has shared that he continues to struggle with intense trauma — frequent nightmares, episodes where he becomes overwhelmed, and moments when he can’t tolerate being touched, even during simple, playful interactions. This little boy has already endured more than any child should. He lost his father just three years ago, and now his mother — a single parent caring for both him and her own mother — is doing everything she can to help him heal. Unfortunately, she cannot afford health insurance through her job, and the specialized care he needs is costly. She was advised to pursue EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective, evidence‑based treatment for trauma. It has been strongly recommended for his situation, but the full course of treatment is far beyond what his family can manage alone. Many of you have asked how you can help — and this is what his mother wants most for her son: the chance to heal, to sleep peacefully again, and to feel safe in his own body. Sadly, he is not the only child in our community who has been affected by this situation. There are other kids who are also struggling with the emotional impact of what happened. If we are fortunate enough to raise more than what is needed for his treatment, any additional funds will be used to help other children in our community access the same trauma‑focused care.
