Help a Chef Rebuild After Unjust Accusation

Good afternoon. First of all, let me start by saying this is the first time that I’ve been out of work in 25 years.

On January 24, 2025, I was arrested for allegedly making online threats to the President. I was having a conversation with a man, and he turned me into the federal government. I’m a comedian, and I make jokes. Being a Chef & Caterer in the private sector, this young man’s actions have caused me to lose 85% of my business. I had to lay off the 9 people who worked for me (3 of them were supporters of MAGA). One of the girls now lives in her van with her two boys.

All my bills are piling up, and I’m starting to lose everything. My car is up for repossession. My rent, cellphone, and utilities are all behind. I have exhausted my savings and money lent to me from family and friends.

I have always been the one to help everyone out, so this is very hard for me too. I cook for a lot of nonprofits and do numerous fundraisers for charities.

Many people will say, “Get a job, you are a Chef.” Which is so true. I’ve never had a problem getting work, but these charges are on my record even though I haven’t been charged, and companies will not hire me until they are removed.

Please help if you can. Once I’m back on my feet, all leftover money will be donated to St. Jude’s.
