Help a changed single mother
Donation protected
Hi I’m Stephanie and my husband and I pastor a church in Missouri. I’m trying to help raise funds for a single mom who was raised in our church but as a late teen and through her 20’s didn’t serve the Lord. She spent time in prison even having her oldest son while being incarcerated. Anyway, God radically saved her the last time she was locked up and since her release she has been on fire for Him. She has 2 adult children, a junior in high school and a 6th grader.
She has been on probation since being released and has been paying payments on her restitution. She has just found out that unless God does an absolute miracle on or by Tuesday she will be going back to prison for a 5 year sentence because the $100 a month that the courts have ordered her to pay hasn’t paid off the total restitution of $60k. So now this single mother who has worked like a dog to restore her name, build back a relationship with her children and family, get a job that would never hire a felon, and build her credit back is now going to lose it all again. She told me that she can’t be angry with God because she did the crime (credit card fraud). Why would the justice system even give her an amount to pay that they know wouldn’t be enough to pay back the amount due?
Anyway, please please pray for this lady and her children. My heart just aches for her. She is truly a changed person. I would trust this woman with absolutely anything I have and never think twice about it. Please believe God to do a miracle in this situation. Also, any financial gift that you would be willing to donate would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!!
*UPDATE AS OF APRIL 4:
At the hearing on Tuesday the judge did grant Meredith one additional month to get the funds together. On May 3 if she doesn’t have the $60k paid in full then she will be returning to prison. We have adjusted the GoFundMe amount needed to show cash donations that have already been given.
