We have amazing news to share! The Hozoori sisters are so close to completing their journey to safety - they've been offered a visa to a European country. We'll update you on details once they land.

If you can afford to contribute one more time, even just a little, we need your help for this last mile of their inspiring but scary journey.

We’re short about $5000 to cover the cost of exit visas, final travel documents and expenses. Then, the host government and a relative of theirs who lives there will be able to support these incredible, resilient women as they are processed for asylum.

Your money has helped secure escape from Afghanistan, where one of the women was a well known on-air journalist. You helped her and her sister eat and pay rent in a safe(er) country that, unfortunately, quickly became dangerous for Afghans. Too dangerous to stay.

She is selling her paragliding equipment, and nearly everything the sisters still own after years of a tenuous existence. I'm also putting in as much money as I can afford to at the moment. I know that things are tight for everyone right now, but if you can spare even just $10, like so many of you have in the past, it will get us there!
