Hello folks,
Cancer does not spare the brightest lights among us.
Someone who has spent her life pouring strength into others is now facing a battle she never imagined — and she cannot walk it alone.
Who She Is & Her Diagnosis
A beloved friend, a fierce advocate for justice, and a steady presence for so many has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
The cancer is triple negative and grade 3, the most aggressive form there is.
She is a trauma practitioner and faith leader supporting oppressed communities, a former church planter, and a lifelong builder of spaces where people can heal, belong, and breathe again.
She has carried communities, families, and individuals through their hardest seasons. Now it is her turn to be held with the same compassion she has given so freely.
Her Adopted Children
She is also the devoted mother of children she adopted out of horrific early circumstances — children who carry long‑term medical and emotional needs as a result of severe abuse and neglect.
Protecting their privacy is essential, which is why her name cannot be shared publicly.
In order to be available for their medical appointments and ongoing needs, she has run her own business for the past seven years, which means this diagnosis brings an immediate financial strain.
The Goal
At this juncture, her treatment plan will likely include surgery — possibly more than one — along with other intensive treatments in the months that follow.
Healing must become her full‑time work.
To make that possible, we are raising funds to cover 3–4 months of basic living expenses, including a healthy food-delivery service that brings organic, nourishing foods directly to her doorstep.
This is a moment for community to rise around someone who has risen for so many.
If you are able, please give. Every offering, large or small, helps carry this family through an unimaginably vulnerable time. Thank you for helping sustain her strength, her dignity, her hope, and her children.
