Help A Brother Out! Support Shane Light & Family!

Hello, I'm starting this fund on behalf of Shane Light, an incredible human being in need of some serious help right now.
Everyone think's it won't happen to them. It happened to a guy they know one time, but it couldn't possibly happen to them. But it happened to Shane, and it changed his and his loved ones lives in an instant.
I'm sure Shane will kick me sideways for even starting this gofundme, but I'm sure like a lot of people, he never expected to find himself in this position. I'm hoping the village will rise up and surround him and his family with safety and support during such a cataclysmic upheaval.
On Saturday Sept. 21st 2024, Shane Light was in an accident, and suffered catastrophic life-altering injuries. He was flown via ORNGE to Sunnybrook where trauma teams were waiting. As of 09/23/24 19:54, the extent of his injuries are not yet fully determined. He also lost a few teeth but he wasn't that pretty to begin with.
Shane has lost more than a few teeth though; as a man with physical jobs in roofing, among other things, he has lost the ability to provide for his family in the last of the season's good weather, leaving them unable to make ends meet. Having recently moved several of his adult children home with him, keeping a roof over everyone's heads has now fallen on his lovely spouse Marcy. She not only has to keep everyone fed, warm, and housed, Marcy now has to add almost daily drives to Sunnybrook from their home far north of Barrie, ON, on top of her own business' schedule to maintain for income.
The expenses are already adding up and its only been 3 days.
Without help, Shane won't have a home to recover in. He'll need a medical bed, mobility aids, home care, physio, travel to Sunnybrook, to specialists. Any financial assistance will be spent keeping the family housed past the next months bill payments, transport to and from the hospital, and other supports for his now complex medical needs.
Shane and his family need to focus on rebuilding their lives, not the constant stress of financial insecurity. If you can help, even a small amount would make a difference. Please share Shane's story with others who may be able to assist. Your support means the world to Shane, Marcy, and the village trying to support them through these extraordinarily difficult circumstances.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story. We are grateful for any support you can provide.
