Help a Brave Young Man Recover from Dog Attack

Hola, mi nombre es Aidan, soy estadounidense y colombiano por parte de mi madre. Me enteré de este caso devastador a través del canal Univision Primer Impacto y, conmovido por la historia, decidí contactar directamente al padre del joven, Guillermo Berrío, quien me confirmó la situación. Mi familia realizó una donación, pero pronto entendimos que esta familia necesita mucho más apoyo del que una sola familia puede ofrecer.

Este caso no ha aparecido en medios internacionales ni en canales estadounidenses. Necesita ser visibilizado.

Greiber, un joven venezolano de 19 años, fue brutalmente atacado por una jauría de perros en la localidad de Bosa, al sur de Bogotá, Colombia. El ataque fue tan grave que perdió ambos brazos y sus dos orejas. Según el hospital, tenía más de 150 mordeduras.

Greiber vive actualmente con su padre, Guillermo Berrío, y su abuela. Su madre falleció hace unos años, y ahora enfrenta un futuro marcado por el trauma físico, psicológico y la falta de recursos. A pesar de la gravedad del caso, ninguna entidad distrital se ha comunicado con la familia ni ha ofrecido apoyo alguno.

Todos los fondos recaudados serán entregados directamente a su padre, Guillermo Berrío, en Bogotá, para cubrir:

• Gastos médicos y hospitalarios

• Prótesis y terapias físicas a largo plazo

• Apoyo psicológico

• Vivienda segura o posible reubicación

• Alimentación y necesidades básicas mientras se recupera

La comunidad ya había advertido varias veces sobre estos perros, que han atacado a otras personas, pero no se tomaron medidas.

Greiber, a 19-year-old Venezuelan, was brutally attacked by a pack of dogs in the town of Bosa, south of Bogotá, Colombia. The attack was so severe that he lost both arms and both ears. According to the hospital, he suffered over 150 bite wounds.

Greiber currently lives with his father, Guillermo Berrío, and his grandmother. His mother passed away a few years ago, and he now faces a future shaped by physical and emotional trauma, with very limited resources. Despite the seriousness of the case, no district authority has contacted the family or offered support.

All funds raised will go directly to his father, Guillermo Berrío, in Bogotá, to help with:

• Medical and hospital expenses

• Prosthetics and long-term physical therapy

• Psychological support

• Safe housing or possible relocation

• Food and basic needs during his recovery

The community had already warned several times about these dogs, who had attacked others, but no action was taken.
