I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a courageous single mother who is facing a devastating health and financial crisis — completely alone.

She was recently diagnosed with cancer and had to stop working immediately to begin treatment. As an immigrant who has spent years working multiple minimum-wage jobs just to support herself and her child, this has been life-shattering.

On top of the diagnosis, someone she trusted deeply — her partner — walked out on her after learning of her illness, telling her that “this wasn’t his problem.” She now faces this fight not only without income, but without emotional or financial support.

She’s now left to care for her child alone, with no job, no family nearby, and the very real threat of:
