We are reaching out on behalf of a courageous and resilient woman who has endured unimaginable suffering, a survivor of severe domestic violence, now navigating life as a single mother to four young children.

She has fought tirelessly to protect her children and give them the love, stability, and safety they deserve. But the challenge she is facing now to survive are overwhelming. The situation has become so grim for her that she often skips meals to be able to feed her children.

She has never received any support from the children's father. She is unable to access benefits and apply for even some grants as she is not eligible to access public funds (benefits) due to her immigration status. Despite her determination and work ethic, the cost of providing for her family alone has become unbearable.

She is currently facing:

• Mounting rent arrears, with the threat of losing her home

• Debts that continue to grow as she tries to make ends meet

• Food insecurity — often skipping meals just so her children can eat

This is not the life she deserve for speaking out against the abuse, but she’s doing everything in her power to survive and rebuild. She is not asking for a handout, she is asking for a hand up during this desperate time.
