Help a Brave Mother in Her Cancer Fight
Donation protected
I am a 41-year-old mother of six who has been battling neuroendocrine cancer since September 2022. I underwent radiation and chemotherapy for a year and a half, and for the last 18 months, my condition remained stable, requiring me to visit for check-ups every three months.
However, after my most recent scans and consultations, we discovered that the cancer has grown and become more aggressive in multiple areas of my body. I will now be traveling to Columbus monthly to receive chemotherapy injections for my liver. Additionally, the cancer has spread to my hip and is encroaching upon my femur, necessitating a five-day hotel stay closer to the hospital for radiation treatment. They are also planning to remove my ovary, as there is a mass growing on it, but they are unsure of the type of cancer in that tumor.
With all these treatments commencing again, my hospital bills are starting to pile up, along with expenses for gas, car maintenance, and my hotel stays. I am currently on disability due to my cancer and struggle to make ends meet. I still have one minor child living at home who I need to support, so things are getting a bit tight financially. I am trying to ensure that I can cover all necessary expenses, but it's becoming increasingly challenging.
Along with the changes in my appointments, I am currently searching for an apartment because I cannot go up and down stairs multiple times a day like I do in my current home. We also do not have enough space where we live now. Additionally, I may need to procure health equipment and items to help me stay more mobile and ensure I can take care of myself and my son.
Despite these difficulties, I truly feel blessed to still be here. At the onset of this journey, I was told I wouldn't survive past a year and a half with treatment, so I am honestly very thankful to be alive today and looking forward to meeting my grandbaby in July!
Thank you for any help. God bless!
