My name is Allie and this is the story of a dear friend of mine.

A courageous mother is trying to break free from daily abuse — emotional, physical, mental, and financial — by her husband.

She’s fought for years to protect her children and stay afloat in a situation no one should ever have to endure. Now she’s ready to leave — but she can’t do it alone.

She’s starting from scratch. Her husband controls the family’s only car, all finances, and access to safe housing. With multiple children and a few beloved pets, she faces massive challenges such as:

• Securing emergency housing that fits her family and animals

• Paying legal fees to retain a lawyer and file for protection

• Providing food, safety gear, clothing, and essentials

• Finding a vehicle large enough for all her children

This fundraiser will help her get out safely and stay out permanently. She’s doing everything right — reaching out for help, protecting her children, and planning her exit — but the financial barrier is overwhelming.
