Help a Brave Mom Hit by a car While Protecting Kids
Donation protected
Hi I’m a kindergarten teacher at Park View Elementary in Payson, Utah. Yesterday, something truly heartbreaking happened to one of my sweet students, his family, and their close friends—who are also students at our school.
After school, his devoted mother was walking her son, her baby in a stroller, and two neighbor boys home when tragedy struck. As they were crossing in a crosswalk, a car ran a red light and hit them. In an instant, their world changed.
The mother and some of the boys were thrown 10–15 feet by the impact. The injuries are serious and heartbreaking. This strong, caring mother suffered a broken hip, shattered parts of her femur, and deep cuts that required stitches. She remains in the hospital, recovering from the trauma and injuries. One of the boys, a third grader, has a broken femur. Another boy, a first grader, suffered a broken ankle.
By some miracle, the baby and kindergartener in the stroller weren’t seriously hurt—but the emotional scars will take time to heal. These families are now facing a long, painful road to recovery—physically, emotionally, and financially.
As a teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how much love and care these families pour into their children. Now, they need our love and support more than ever. Medical bills, time off work, and the demands of healing are overwhelming.
Please, if you’re able, consider donating to help ease their burden. Share this with others. Every donation, every kind message, every prayer makes a difference. Let’s wrap these families in the love of this community and help them begin to heal.
