Planning for two kids under two is hard enough—doing it while facing a tsunami of medical emergencies, a high-risk pregnancy, and the looming reality of a premature birth is nearly impossible.
At just 13 weeks pregnant, a sudden and traumatic bleed while shopping led to an emergency rush from Walmart to the ER. She was admitted to the hospital around 15 weeks and has been under close watch ever since, with complications continuing through her third trimester.
Now nearly 29 weeks along, her doctors have warned her to be prepared: this baby is likely coming early. They anticipate delivery between 32–37 weeks—and possibly sooner if induction is needed to protect either mom or baby. Both are facing different and serious medical risks.
What makes this even more complex is that right before this unexpected pregnancy, she had just started receiving long-awaited answers to a host of confusing and chronic health problems. Throughout the pregnancy, her doctors have continued uncovering diagnoses including macrocytic anemia, reactive hypoglycemia, and a rare condition that affects the body’s cortisol production. Her care team is working tirelessly—not only to protect her and her baby during this high-risk pregnancy—but to understand and treat these underlying causes and give her a path toward healing beyond birth.
This all comes while supporting a household of four on a single income, trying to responsibly rehome pets (despite shelters being full), and navigating crisis after crisis without a safety net.
If you know this family personally, you know there’s even more going on behind the scenes—things they’ve chosen to keep private. But what’s clear is that neither mom nor dad, individually or as a unit, have had a single moment to catch their breath.
Let's help to lift just a little of the load. Your generosity will help with:
Ongoing medical bills and hospital stays
Emergency child care and preemie baby essentials
Preparing for NICU support and a safe transition home
Basic needs for the family during this intense season
If you’d prefer to give directly through baby items, the baby registry link is listed down below. Every gift, share, and prayer means more than words can say.
Thank you for showing up for a mama who’s giving it everything she’s got.
