Help a Brave Girl Overcome Trauma and Heal

As many of you know, my daughter has been struggling with an eating disorder. We have been seeking treatment for the last year. On September 29, she made a suicide attempt and has been in the local Children's psych facility. She is due to be transferred to a residential program next week to further help with some of the issues she is facing. Many of you know my girlie and know she is a great kid but her trauma has her facing many demons and she is struggling to see her worth. Coming from foster care and being abandoned at such a young age has scarred her in ways that she is still dealing with- all the extra therapy and hospitalizations have tapped me out. The copay for residential is more than what I can afford and visiting her (in Mason and Columbus) is tearing me up financially and emotionally. People are asking how to help and right now finances are a big worry and with the cost of all of this I feel like I am drowning. Being a social worker is a great and rewarding career but the pay is low and I find I am just in over my head. Anything will help- from paying dog walkers so I can visit her to gas money to all the extra support she is needing this mama is struggling.
