This GoFundMe is being created by someone close to them who wants to help them and their family through an extremely difficult time.

On November 21, 2025, their lives has changed in a devastating way. While working as an Access bus driver with Transdev, the bus he was operating caught on fire. It was later determined the fire was caused by the battery, and during the emergency he had a wheelchair-bond client on board who depended on him. In that terrifying moment, his priority was keeping his passenger safe. He acted quickly and rescued the client from the burning bus, putting his own safety at risk to ensure they were able to get out safely. During the rescue , he was exposed to heavy, toxic fumes inside the bus. Since the fire, he has suffered a lung injury and inhaling smoke and toxic fumes. This has significantly affected his health and ability to return to work. He has now been out of work since the incident, and this created a very difficult financial situation for him and his family. While he focuses on recovering, the family has been struggling to manage everyday expenses and ongoing needs. His family has already been facing major challenges. His wife has been battling stage 4 brain cancer for the past 5 years, and he is also helping raise a large blended family. He has 2 biological children and 5 stepchildren, including 4 children with Autism who require additional care and support. He has always worked hard to provide for them, and this unexpected tragedy has made this extremely difficult. We are asking for help during this time.
