A young woman who has served the CTA riders by cleaning trains for about a year was brutally attacked by a rider on November 30, 2025.
The mismanagement was so cruel as to threaten her with termination if she left the terminal with the paramedics. Their reason was that she needed to be drug-tested.
But the many hours they made her sit and wait for drug testing were many hours she could have received treatment.
This cruel act was a violation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between our union and the CTA. The mismanager was supposed to allow her to go and order a drug test after immediate medical attention.
She is now bedridden in tremendous pain and suffering mental trauma.
What makes all of this worse is that on October 31st—the same day the CTA received funding to stem layoff thanks to our union members, our dues money and rider advocates—she received a notice that she would be laid off in January 2026.
As of this day, neither the CTA management nor our own union president has condemned this act of brazen cruelty toward a dedicated employee.
While the CTA is complaining about "staffing shortages," they lay off brave workers who clean the trains and risk injury or death by lost souls who live on our trains!
Now she is in the arrears with almost two months of rent!
Our sister is currently working with an injury attorney to secure worker's compensation payments. However, the CTA mismanagement has an entire platoon of ruthless attorneys who are fighting to keep her from what she is owed.
Basically, I am asking for you to donate generously so she can pay rent and buy food while she heals and awaits a settlement. I must protect her identity.
So you will have to trust me that I will ensure she gets all the money. You can learn more about my dedication towards CTA workers at my blog and YouTube Channel .
Please also sign my petition so workers like this brave sister can have a true Second Chance towards gainful employment at the CTA.
