Hi,
My name is Evelyn and I’m trying to raise funds for my son, Mason, who is 14 year old’s and has worked hard to adopt and care for his cat, Felix.
Felix was 2 years old, and my son worked really hard to show us he was ready for a cat, they even gave us a power point presentation proving they were ready for a cat who he worked tirelessly making custom bracelets to save up money to adopt and care for Felix.
He got his wish and as able to adopt his little goofball.
Felix was rambunctious, loves to play and eat, and also cuddle and get pets from Mason and others. He’s been with Mason since he was just 9 weeks old, and was a huge amazing help in helping my son come out of his shell, as well as helping him soothe when his anxiety gets really bad.
Unfortunately, Felix got really sick, and required emergency vet care, and Mason nor I had the means to be able to take him to pay for it. I applied for CareCredit and Scratchpay, and got denied from both of them.
Felix is currently at Pointe 183 Animal Hospital, he under went emergency surgery due to a urinary blockage he had. He had kidney issues as well as high potassium levels and was being monitored closely by the vets.
Unfortunately, even with all the work the veterinarian did to help save Felix, and Felix trying his hardest to fight, he fell susceptible to his illness and wasn’t able to fight it off.
He passed the night after his surgery, at Pointe 183 Animal Hospital, thankfully he wasn’t alone, as the amazing vet techs and veterinarian were there to give him pets and cuddles.
Unfortunately, to be able to take Felix’s remains home, I now have to pay the vet bill that was made while Felix was under their care. We are being quoted $1305, and the cost of cremation would be $163.
We are asking for ya’ll to please help me be able to bring home my son‘s cat remains, and make sure he doesn’t loose his best friend a second time.
Thank you so much,
A mom trying to save her son’s cat.
