Hello, my name is Sherria D. Young-Smith, and I’m a totally blind graduate student currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling. I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping me continue my education and complete my dream of becoming a licensed Professional counselor who supports others through their own challenges.

I have limited income and facing significant financial barriers to affording the two semesters of my program. The total cost I need to cover is $12,000, which includes tuition, and fees.

As someone who lives with blindness, I understand what it means to face adversity and I’ve also learned how mental health can impact every area of life. That’s why I chose this field: to help others find hope, healing, and empowerment, no matter what challenges they face.

Despite the difficulties, I’ve made it this far through hard work, resilience, and the belief that we all deserve support. With your help, I can continue my education and move one step closer to making a difference in my community as a Licensed professional counselor.
