I’m a twenty two year old black woman who has been on her own essentially since the age of sixteen. Due to an incredibly abusive situation, i was forced to make a decision between staying and living in a toxic environment which had a huge impact on my mental health or going out on my own and trying to live my life. At such a young age, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, where I was going, but i knew it was something I HAD to do. Through the years I have done everything in my power to work through my experiences, and just barely keeping my head above water, which hasn’t been easy and I’m thankful for those who have extended themselves to me along my journey. In 2 months my lease is up in orlando and due to unfortunate circumstances, (abuse) I’m once again in a predicament where I am left with basically no options.  Due to covid and I guess with what is easiest to label as an addiction and plummeting mental health, I have been inconsistent with work. I have a compromised immune system (cardiomyopathy/asthma) but I do not have the luxury to stay home. I have reached the point that I am willing to swallow my pride and ask for some help. My plan is to seek help with my personal self, while also managing to keep a roof over my head. Anything would be greatly appreciated, and thank you anyone who has taken the time to read this.
