Hey guys! I’m Kai and I’m a freelance musician in Chicago. I know that, considering everyone’s situation right now, times have been pretty tough. Given that, I’ve had to work in many harmful environments. Being misgendered, being verbally abused and my lively hood being jeopardized on a daily basis have made it super hard to survive in this climate.

I’m currently working in a place where I’m being discriminated against. My hours are being cut, in the middle of a pandemic. Not being of my productivity levels, my punctuality, or my ability to work with others but simply because I’m out spoken and I won’t allow my manager to treat me like I’m not a person.

I’m currently filing a lawsuit and due to this situation I’m currently behind on rent. So I’m giving mutual aid a try.
