Help A Black Student Finish College
Donation protected
My name is Kyra Frazier and I am a Black rising senior at Brandeis University. The sole reason that I have been able to attend Brandeis for the past three years is due to the large amount of financial aid that I have received from grants, scholarships, and need-based aid from the university. However, this year, Brandeis drastically reduced the amount of aid that I will be receiving for my final year. This has put my family in a tough sitaution financially. This in combination with the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent uprisings due to system racism have began to become a great burden on myself and my family as we are now being expected to come up with quite a large sum of funds. I have already taken out loans for every year that I've been in school and will be working multiple jobs once I return to campus to help with the costs. However, this will likely not be enough to cover the added costs from my reduced financial aid package and I do not have many other options to get funds at such late notice. Any financial support would be appreciated at this time. If you can give anything at all, please do. These funds will be going to help pay for my tuition, room & board, and fees which will amount to a little over $20,000 for the entire year. This is my last year at Brandeis and I would love to be able to finish this year off with as little additional financial/emotional stress as possible for both myself and my family, despite the ongoing pandemic and national uprisings against state sanctioned violence and racism against Black Americans. Thank you.
