Help a Black Queer couple pay rent!
Emergency funds needed to keep housing.
TK and Jae are a disabled Black trans couple struggling with the cost of living amid growing health concerns. TK is struggling with chronic illness and is currently unable to work, and Jae is taking care of the household as a graphic designer, whose biggest contract was abruptly canceled. While they still have part-time work that can cover smaller monthly bills, if they are unable to get additional work soon, we will be unable to afford housing by the end of next month.
We are working hard to find more work to sustain ourselves, but in the meantime, we are trying to raise $3500 to cover rent for the next three months, accounting for the fees taken by GFM. We know that we've been asking for a lot of assistance, but we're hoping our community can rally around us again and help us survive the height of the summer. Should we be blessed enough to find work sooner than later, additional funds will go toward move expenses that will be coming up in July.
Please consider sharing, and thank you so so much in advance.
