Hello friends! My name is Krissy Calbert and I am a (black and queer) 26-year-old visual artist living in Minneapolis. I have been doing graphic design for 8 years now, photography and digital media marketing for 6, and illustration for one year. I am also currently learning advanced web design, guitar, music production, journalism, and app coding. My work can be found HERE  <-

Pre-covid, I was working as an restaurant, event, and cocktail server and trying to save money to eventually get my business off the ground. However, with the current collapse of the entertainment industry, I have been using this time to start honing the skills I need now that I have a seemingly endless amount of free time.

In order to open my shop and really start my business, I need better equipment. My current laptop is several years old (I used it throughout college), is completely out of storage space, and has a broken screen.

In place of serving, I have been on unemployment and occasionally taking commissions/doing freelance graphic design when I need extra money. However, it is nowhere near enough to upgrade to the computer I need, which is why I'm asking for your help to upgrade to the new 16-inch Macbook Pro. I have included a picture of the specs and software I'll need added for full transparency.

Getting this new computer is the first step to starting my business and eventually opening my own shop and music venue. I am working hard to be a "one-stop shop" or sorts; I want my clients to be able to come to me for any creative service they may need, and that all starts with new and better equipment.
