Help a 9-Year-Old Ballet Dream Take Flight

This summer, my 9-year-old daughter has been given an extraordinary opportunity—she has been accepted into some of the world’s most prestigious ballet summer intensives: School of American Ballet (SAB), Paris Opera Ballet (POB), Royal Ballet School (RBS), and American Ballet Theatre (ABT).

These programs are highly competitive and represent a major milestone for any young dancer pursuing ballet at an advanced level.

Her Story

She didn’t grow up in an elite dance family or with unlimited access to resources. She’s a military kid—raised in a family built on discipline, sacrifice, and showing up no matter what.

She works hard. She listens. She loves ballet with her whole heart.

And somehow, through that dedication, she’s earned a seat in rooms most dancers spend years trying to reach.

As a military family, we understand commitment, sacrifice, and perseverance. My daughter brings those same values into the studio every day—through long hours of training, and a genuine love for ballet that continues to grow.

These intensives will give her the chance to train with world-class instructors, gain international exposure, and develop both technically and artistically alongside talented dancers from around the world. Experiences like these are not just opportunities—they are stepping stones toward a professional future in ballet.

This summer also holds a deeper meaning for our family. We are hoping to make it possible for her grandmother to join us for part of this journey—especially in Paris—creating a special memory together during a very difficult time in her health.

The total cost for these opportunities add up… covering tuition, travel (including international flights), housing, and training essentials. We are working hard as a family to cover as much as possible and are hoping to raise some of the funding through community support.

Your support will go directly toward:
• Tuition for summer intensive programs
• Airfare and travel expenses
• Housing and meals
• Ballet attire and training essentials

Every contribution—no matter the size—brings her one step closer to this life-changing experience. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to our family.

Thank you for believing in her dream and for supporting a young dancer’s journey.

With gratitude,
The Johnsons
