Wayne Bonacker – the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back before you ever had to ask. He has spent his life giving and supporting others, and now we are asking you to support him.

Wayne’s Journey
In December of 2023, he found out that his kidney cancer returned. He was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma, Stage 4. We were told chemotherapy wasn’t an option – it simply doesn’t work on this type of cancer. Radiation and surgery were also ruled out due to the risk to his one remaining kidney. Immunotherapy became his path moving forward. Wayne has been on monthly Immunotherapy IV infusions ever since. While it worked on the smaller tumors, his main tumor has slowly continued to grow and now two smaller ones have appeared nearby. With no more options available through conventional treatment, we turned to Dr. Jason R. Williams of the Williams Cancer Institute in California, with procedures performed across the border in Mexico. Not all cases are accepted- so when they told us Wayne was a good candidate, we were overjoyed and filled with hope.

The Treatment
At the Williams Cancer Institute, Wayne will receive Immunotherapy intratumorally – using a guided needle directly into the tumor – along with Pulse Electric Field Ablation (PEF). PEF is a non-thermal, tissue specific procedure that uses short, high-voltage electrical pulses to create microscopic pores in cell membranes. It selectively destroys targeted cells while sparing surrounding nerves, blood vessels, and critical structures from thermal damage. This treatment has an 85% success rate. Wayne will need anywhere from 3 to 6 treatments, costing between $181,000 to $320,000 – and that doesn’t include the cost of flights and hotel stays for each trip to Mexico every 3 to 4 weeks. We just returned from his first treatment that was on March 17th. We were deeply impressed by the level of care and attention he received. Wayne is doing well. If you know Wayne you know, it’s hard to keep him still for too long. In between visits he will continue his at home regimen of supplements, meds, and his monthly IV Immunotherapy.

His Story
Wayne and I found each other after we both lost our spouses to cancer. In each other we found strength, hope and love again – and the joy of building a life together with two beautiful families. Wayne is a devoted father, a proud grandpa and great grandpa, a brother, an uncle, and a friend to anyone who meets him. He is a kind man who makes every room warmer just by being in it. Even facing something this difficult, Wayne has been nothing but positive and strong – because that is simply who he is. It’s not in his nature to be any other way. His family loves him deeply, and the thought of more time together – more holidays, more memories, more moments – is what drives us every single day.
Oh, we can’t leave out - more racing and more farming!

Thank You
Through our fundraising, Wayne has said he wants to help others find their way to better health. We have done so much research to get to this point, and we want to make sure we share what we have learned. Wayne and I believe everyone deserves the chance to find answers and hope on their journey toward healing.
We truly appreciate each and every one of you. Every contribution, every share and every prayer means more to us than words can express.
No amount is too small, and every contribution is deeply appreciated.

Stay positive- We love you all!
