I came out to Oregon from the east coast recently to work a job with a friend and start a new life. Things didn’t work out with who we were working for and now I am technically homeless and 3000 miles away from home. My friend is not in situation to let me stay but they did lend me an e scooter and my closest family cant afford to help me get back home (It’s now been 2 weeks from this update 8/26/26) I just recently got a job but it could be a month until I receive a full paycheck and I’m concerned as the wet rainy season is right around the corner I’ve been relying on a gym membership to stay presentable for work and a small storage unit for my things but I cant afford the bills coming up for them. Rucking through the forests, camping and meeting the homeless has been an eye opening experience (I've never been homeless before) but its taking a toll on my body and I've been doing the best to take care of my sensitive skin on these hot summer days. I don’t drink or do drugs and genuinely want to get on my feet here. These funds will strictly be used for finding immediate shelter.
