Help a 27 year veteran Teacher, Miss Lisa, today!

Hi, my name is Jeanne Marie and I am starting this Gofundme page for my friend Lisa, a veteran educator who, like many educators, came on hard times during the pandemic after 27 years as a dedicated School Teacher, experiencing joblessness several days before Christmas. Miss Lisa devoted her life to educating & caring for children. She was met with a situation in which she could either protect her children and teach as best she can in an over-crowded system, with no support from administration, or placate to disruptives, who she was given no support to handle when she asked for assistance to address issues plaguing amazing teachers like her daily. Unfortunately, when new forces, who are neither experienced nor equipped to handle situations, are placed in Administrative positions, it impacts excellent teachers who either accept the new toxic environment they find themselves working in, or are forced to navigate through bureaucracy to advocate for themselves, risking retaliation & their jobs. Miss Lisa is currently fighting the good fight while trying to keep afloat & food on the table. We all have had amazing teachers in our lives who helped make us who we are today, not realizing the struggles and lack of support teachers have been facing for decades to do what they love, giving 150% each and every day.
