Help a 23-Year-Old Recover from Car Accident

I am in need of community support and mutual aid. I am a 23-year-old. Yesterday, I totaled my car. I unfortunately did not have full coverage insurance. I am supposed to feel blessed to be alive; however, if you know me, you know I just got my license on my 23rd birthday, August 2nd, and lost my best friend of 14+ years/sister/daughter/dog, Honey, the day before that.

I have struggled greatly previously with not having a license and the freedom that comes with driving, feeling trapped in my apartment like I was working to pay for my own incarceration at times. Me not getting a license till 23 was no fault of my own, just a lack of support with people being able to be with me to teach me when I had a permit. It has limited my life and my ability to work and find high-paying livable wages greatly.

As I am also diagnosed with many mental and physical health issues, including autism, CPTSD, OCD, and Crohn's disease, it’s hard for me to keep regular jobs due to my physical and mental health. I was UberEats driving at the time of the incident after I had lost my union job for needing to take time off to grieve my emotional support toddler in dog form. UberEats was a wonderful opportunity for me as at certain times they would offer $22 an hour plus tips, and I was able to work around and accommodate my physical and mental health better.

However, uber eating led me into unfamiliar territory, and I crashed about an hour away from home, taking an exit too quickly. The state trooper that first arrived on the scene and drove me to a safe location afterward told me six people have crashed in that exact same location in the past three years he has worked there. It was very unlucky and a very sharp exit. I was thankful that another state trooper decided to finish my delivery as every little bit of money helps at this point. However, I am in a lot of physical pain. I will be recovering in bed till further notice. Thankful to have health insurance at least. However, I no longer have a job, I am physically not able to work at the moment, and no longer have a form of transportation to find new work.

But I need a way to be able to provide for myself and my cats. Without a vehicle to do so and without local access to public transportation, and most, if not all, local jobs being less than $15 an hour, that is not livable for me. I hope I can find a ride for myself by the Witching Hours Night Market in October, as that will be a big event and source of income to sell my products. The money raised will be used to secure another vehicle as soon as possible. Along with other life expenses and/or storage if I get evicted from being unable to work. If I have any leftover it will be saved for vehicle maintenance or vet bills. I have 5 cats: Shadow, sugar, onyx, osa, and Olaf. I’m thankful to have a roomate that could take them to the vet if needed at times, however, if there were to be an emergency I really need the security of being able to take my animals to the vet myself if they happened to not be available.
