Hi, my name is brett , and I’m fundraising on behalf of an incredibly dedicated 15-year-old Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete, Lucas my son , who has been given the opportunity to compete at a major Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition in the United States.
This isn’t just another tournament.
This event is one of the most prestigious youth BJJ competitions in the world. It attracts elite young athletes, top coaches, and international teams. Competing here could open doors to future sponsorships, academy invitations, and international competition pathways.
For a young athlete with dreams of building a real future in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Who Lucas Is
Lucas is 15 years old and trains multiple times per week, training, and competition with a maturity far beyond his years.
He shows up early.
He stays late.
He helps younger students.
He never complains.
He doesn’t train because he has to — he trains because he loves it.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has become his purpose, his discipline, and his safe place. It has taught him confidence, resilience, respect, and how to handle adversity. It has kept him focused, motivated, and on a positive path.
His coaches truly believe he has the talent, mindset, and work ethic to go far in this sport.
Why This Competition Matters
Competing in the USA places young athletes in front of:
• World-class opposition
• International coaches and scouts
• High-level competition experience
• Potential sponsorship and academy pathways
This is the level where future champions are shaped.
Win or lose, the experience alone will dramatically accelerate his development and exposure. It could shape the entire direction of his BJJ career.
Why We Need Help
Traveling internationally as a young athlete is expensive, and his family cannot cover the full cost alone.
Funds raised will go toward:
✈️ Flights
Accommodation
Competition entry fees
Team registration & coaching support
Food & local transport
Every single contribution goes directly toward helping Lucas step onto the mat and represent himself, his team, and the UK.
Why Your Support Matters
You are not just helping a teenager travel to a tournament.
You are investing in:
• A young person with discipline and purpose
• A positive role model
• A future athlete chasing an honest dream
Your support tells him that people believe in his journey.
And that belief is powerful.
Final Words
Lucas has already proven he is willing to do the hard work.
Now we are asking for help to give him the opportunity.
If you are able to donate, share, or spread the word, you are becoming part of his story.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
