Update: Wesley's condition has worsened.
Since Sat, Wesley has started having episodes of rapid breathing and a racing heart. It is becoming worse and more frequent . Even at rest his breathing is elevated. He needs to be seen as soon as possible due to the masses putting pressure on his internal organs.
If youve been considering donating or sharing Wesley's story please do so now. Time truly matters, and we want to give him every chance to keep fighting.
Thank you fir all your continued love and support for Wesley!
He has two melon-sized lipomas in his groin area. At first, they were small and didn't seem to bother him, but over time they have grown and now affect his ability to walk. He also has another one on his chest that is compressing his organs and causing labored breathing. We've spoken to multiple veterinarians, and they've told us that surgery is necessary to give Wesley the best chance at a healthy life.
Wesley is a beautiful golden retriever who means the world to our family. He has always been there for us, sensing every emotion and offering his unconditional love. Out of all the dogs I've had in my life, Wesley is truly special—he seems to understand us in a way that words can't describe.
As a disabled veteran on a fixed income, the costs for his vet visits, surgery, and possible medications are overwhelming. We are reaching out to our friends, family & community for help because we want to give Wesley the care he needs and deserves. Any support you can offer—whether it's a donation or simply sharing our story—means the world to us. We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity in helping Wesley get back on his paws.
