Help Salma and Salem Look for their Future

Hello Everyone. My name is Aya Elalami, and I was raised in the United States while my aunt, uncles, and cousins all live in Gaza. I have made this gofundme to ask all of you to help my cousins Salma and Salem and their family. Salma and Salem are siblings with a passion for dentistry, photography, and journalism. Here are some photos them before the war in Gaza.

Their family was able to leave to Egypt, however, faced the challenging decision of having to leave their education and careers. The evacuation was very pricey and now they have limited resources to support themselves and the rest of their family in Gaza.

Since the beginning of October 7th, Salma and Salem’s family had to evacuate their house multiple times to end up on empty land with very minimum support for proper living. Here is a photo of Salma and Salem's family sleeping outside in the cold in Gaza since they had to leave their home:

Their father Wael has diabetes. Wael is very low on treatment, has limited access to food to support his system, and has very high blood pressure. They were able to escape Gaza but now face the new challenge of having to survive in Egypt with just the clothes on their back. Here are some photos of Salem and Salma's family:

As a result of this war, Salma and Salem lost their education in dentistry and any hope of a career. Salma was in her last year of dental school when the war began. She lost all of her transcripts/education documents since her university was bombed and does not have the money to complete her degree. Here is a photo of her university destroyed in Gaza:

The money donated today will help Salma and her family establish their new life. They are now refugees who must find a way to build a new life with very limited resources.
