Hello, I’m Rima a Palestinian/Austrian living in Austria. With great sadness and hope in humanity, I'm reaching out to you to help my family members evacuate out of Gaza to Egypt.

During the war, my family who consist of 16 persons had to evacuate several times and their houses have been destroyed, they are currently living a partly destroyed house and in tents with the bare minimum access to water, food and basic needs. They are at great risk of dying at any time either from bombs or from starvation, dehydration and disease.

My mother is 67 years old with diabetes and heart problems, she does not have access to any medical care. Furthermore, her medication is not available. The children eat once a day, schools and hospitals have been destroyed.

The only glimmer of hope we have is to plea to you to help fund them to pay for their exit fees to Egypt. I would have never envisaged myself crowd funding for such a solution, but I wouldn't forgive myself for not doing everything and anything possible or imaginable to save their lives and get them into safety.

In order to facilitate my family's evacuation from Gaza to Egypt, I'm setting up a GoFundMe campaign to raise USD $80,000 to pay for exit permits to Egypt, as well as crossing fees at Rafah, at the Egypt-Gaza border.

The funds you contribute will be allocated as follows to 16 Members of my family in Gaza:

• Arrange their permits to leave the Gaza Strip ASAP which will cost $5000-$6000 for each

• Accommodation and living expenses in Egypt for an extended period

My family members are:

• My mother

• My sister Dina and her family (6 persons).

• My brother Yaser and his family (5 persons).

• My sister Rasha and her family (4 persons).
